Who is responsible for your data?
The controller of your personal data is Miguel Ángel Jiménez (majomaken), based in Mosquera, Cundinamarca, Colombia. For anything about this policy, write to [email protected].
This policy covers the majomaken.dev website and follows Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, now compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015.
What data do I collect?
- Newsletter and course waitlist: your email address, the site language and the page or form where you signed up.
- Contact form: your name (optional), your email, the need you selected and your message.
- Analytics: if you accept it in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 measures in aggregate how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. I use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics storage denied by default: if you do not accept, it stays denied.
- WhatsApp: if you write to me on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
I do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include it in your messages.
What do I use it for?
- Newsletter: to send you the weekly email.
- Course waitlist: to send you course updates.
- Contact form: to answer your request and follow up.
- Analytics: to understand which content is useful and improve the site. I do not use it for ads.
You can unsubscribe anytime with the link in every email, or by writing to [email protected].
Who do I share it with?
Only with the providers I need to run the site. They act as data processors:
- Resend: sends the site emails and stores the data needed to do so. Its servers are in the United States.
- Google: processes the Google Analytics data, only if you accept analytics.
- Cloudflare: the site traffic goes through its network before reaching my server, so it processes in transit the technical connection data (such as your IP address) and what you send in the forms. It is a company based in the United States.
Your data is stored on my own server in Colombia (a log file of sign-ups and messages) and in Resend.
Does your data leave Colombia?
Yes. Resend, Google and Cloudflare process data outside Colombia, mainly in the United States. By subscribing, writing to me or accepting analytics, you authorize that international transfer for the purposes in this policy.
How long do I keep it?
While your subscription is active, or as long as needed to answer and follow up on your request. If you ask me to delete it, I delete it.
What are your rights?
Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012 gives you the right to:
- Know, update and rectify your personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization you gave me.
- Be informed, on request, about how I have used your data.
- File complaints with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), Colombia’s data protection authority, for breaches of the law.
- Revoke your authorization and request deletion of your data.
- Access your personal data free of charge.
How do you exercise them?
Write to [email protected] with your name, the email you signed up with and what you need. These are the response times set by law:
- Inquiries: to know what data I hold and how I use it. I reply within 10 business days of receiving your request. If I cannot make it, I tell you why and reply within 5 more business days at most.
- Claims: to correct, update or delete your data, revoke your authorization or report a breach. I reply within 15 business days of receiving your request. If I cannot make it, I tell you why and reply within 8 more business days at most.
If you are not satisfied after that process, you can go to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC). The law asks you to file the inquiry or claim with the controller first.
What about minors?
The site is not aimed at minors. If you believe a minor sent me their data, write to me and I will delete it.
What if this policy changes?
Any change is published on this page with its new updated date. This policy is effective since October 8, 2026.
